Let’s be honest—the Sunday Scaries are real.
It’s that late afternoon feeling when your weekend disappears and your brain starts listing everything you haven’t done.
I used to hate Sundays because of this.
Now? It’s my favourite day of the week.
Because I built a simple Sunday reset routine that gets my life together—mentally, financially, and physically—before Monday even starts.
Here’s exactly what I do.
🧘♀️ 1. Morning Reset: Move First, Think Later
I stopped treating weekends like recovery days and started using them as reset days.
Most Sundays, my boyfriend and I either:
- Go to the gym
- Or play tennis (my current obsession 🎾)
Why this works:
- Instantly boosts mood (endorphins = no anxiety)
- Gets you out of “lazy mode”
- Builds momentum for the rest of the day
☕ 2. The “Admin Date” (This Changed Everything)
You’ve probably seen the “Admin Day” trend on social media, but we take it a step further and turn it into a proper date. Let’s be real—going through finances and answering emails is boring. But doing it together with your another half and a good coffee? It’s a vibe.
We usually head to one of our favourite spots (if you are based in Hong Kong, you have to try NOC, Elephant Grounds, or the Fish Bar at Marriott for a chill atmosphere).
Just the two of us with our laptop, coffee and 2–3 hours of focused life setup. And somehow… it’s actually enjoyable.

What we do during our Admin Date
💳 Financial Reset
- Pay off credit cards
- Review weekly spending
- Align on savings & goals
👉 This alone removes SO much background stress.
💻 Side Hustle Time
- Work on our projects (like this blog 👀)
- Build long-term income streams
👉 Even 2–3 hours/week compounds like crazy over time.
🤖 Learning & Growth
- Share AI tools, trends, or marketing ideas
- Mini “knowledge swap” session
📅 Quick Weekly Planning
Before we leave, I map out:
- Top 3 priorities for the week
- Key meetings
- Personal goals
👉 This is what eliminates Monday anxiety.
🍳 3. Evening Reset: Slow Living > Takeout
During the week, we’re always rushing.
So Sunday night = intentional slow time:
- Cook a proper meal
- No screens
- Music in the background
It’s less about food—and more about resetting your pace.
🛁 4. Night Reset: My “Everything Shower” Routine
This is my favourite part of the entire routine.
It’s where I switch from “productive mode” to “soft life mode”.
🫧 Step 1: The Bath
I’m obsessed with bath bombs from Lush—especially their Hello Kitty and friends collection (Cinnamoroll is my weakness 🥹).
They literally turns your bath into an actual experience. They smell incredible ad instantly helps destres after a long week.
